Conceived
by the companies Hippocampe, Les Éléphants Roses, Mangano-Massip
and Platform 88, MIMESIS is
a platform of short pieces, an artistic encounter between public,
artists and professionals. A portray of the current state of the
contemporary creation in the mime and movement arts which bears
witness to the diversity of approaches to a corporal dramaturgy:
movement theatre, mime, mask, visual theatre, corporeal mime,
dance-theatre, corporal theatre, movement and texture, physical
theatre...
We
welcome all artists and companies wishing to participate in this new
edition to propose a short piece from 1 to 10 minutes maximum. In
accordance with the International Visual Theatre – research
laboratory of arts, linguistic and pedagogy of sign language – the
pieces must be accessible to the hearing-impaired.
For
this year's edition, we will have two different programmes over a
four day festival. Programme A on Thusrday and Friday ;
Programme B on Saturday and Sunday. Applicants must be avaliable for
the whole festival period. We will annonce the definitive programme
at the beggining of June.

Application's
terms and conditions:
Artists
and companies wishing to participate in MIMESIS must send a completed
application form by
email only until the 28th
of April by midnight at mimesis.contact@gmail.com.
Uncompleted or late application forms will not be considered. The
programme will be announced at the beggining of June.
The
application must include:

the application form

2 photos of the piece (in High Defintion - 300 DPI quality with
credits)
-
video(s) (internet link or DVD).
We
will not consider applications without a video of the proposed piece.

Applying
to MIMESIS implies the acceptance to release image rights for
promotional purposes only (photos and video).

Financial
Conditions
:
- Box
office shared between the participating companies (on the base of
60% of the box office).
In the meantime, we are looking for other
financial support but we can not
guarantee anything at the moment.
- Transport and accommodation are at the applicant's charge.
- MIMESIS
will assure the general communication of the event (public and
professional)
Technical
conditions:

The stage at the IVT is 8 m wide and 6 m deep.

Time for getting in and getting out MUST be shorter than 1min.

A general lighting rid will be set. We ask you a simplified light
design due to the number of
companies participating. Tech will be
assured by the theatre's technician
